Black-Owned Water Brands to Pass Out to Georgia Voters
By Melisha Daniels - March 27, 2021By now you've heard about the new Georgia Voting Laws that were passed last Thursday. In the wee hours of March 25, 2021, during a closed meeting, Republican Senators passed a bill that furthers suppresses voting access in the State of Georgia.
Currently, there is a lot of uproar in the media about the bill restricting voting access, but no specifics about what this means for us. I got you.
Have you ever heard the saying, "They make everything Black people do illegal"? Well Georgia Senate Bill 202 is yet another example.
Let me explain. The last Georgia Primary, saw voters in some of Georgia's primarily Black districts have to endure heat and rain while waiting up to 5 hours to vote. Georgia's Senate Bill 202 further discourages voting by criminalizing providing water and juice to voters who are standing in line at the polls.
In the year 2021, the worlds largest incarcerator of humans has decided that giving another human a drink of water is a crime.

Actor and Comedian George Wallace has committed to fighting for our voting rights. He has kindly offered to serve bottled water to Georgians waiting in line to cast votes. And JustasIam.Careers plans on helping him.
I'll bring voters all the damn water I want. I'm gonna have a cart out there like a motherfletchin' flight attendant. Mineral water. Spring water. Smart Water. Vitamin water. Holy water. Muddy Waters. All the waters! Jim Crow can kiss my black ass!
